Important Safety Information
• PINCH HAZARD: Keep hands and fingers clear of hinges, pivot points, cross-braces and the spaces between stacked pockets while opening or closing the stand.
• Use indoors on a clean, dry, level and stable floor.
• Keep the stand away from stairs, doorways, emergency exits and areas where the base could become a trip hazard.
• Inspect the base, pockets, hinges, braces and fasteners before every use. Do not use the stand if any part is loose, bent, cracked or damaged.
• Remove all literature before moving, opening or closing the stand.
• Do not climb, sit, lean or place body weight on the stand.
• Keep children and bystanders clear during setup and takedown.
• Do not use outdoors or expose the stand to wind, rain, snow or moisture.
Setup
1. Clear the setup area and remove the stand from its carry bag.
2. Place the collapsed stand upright on its base on a level floor.
3. Grip the upper frame with both hands. Lift slowly and evenly while keeping fingers outside all joints and cross-braces.
4. Allow the folding frame to expand without twisting it. Stop immediately if any section binds; lower the stand and inspect it instead of forcing the mechanism.
5. Continue until the base and lower supports are fully seated and the stand remains upright without assistance.
6. Check that the stand is vertical, stable and fully supported before adding literature.
7. Load the lower pockets first and work upward. Distribute literature evenly and do not overload a pocket or allow materials to protrude where they can fall or snag.
Safe Operation
• Use only literature that fits completely inside the pockets.
• Do not attach signs, bags, lights or other objects unless they are specifically approved for this product.
• Do not move or reposition the stand while it is loaded.
• Keep the full base in contact with the floor and maintain a clear walking path around it.
• If the stand becomes unstable, damaged or difficult to operate, unload it and remove it from service.
Takedown and Storage
1. Remove all literature from all six pockets and clear people from the area.
2. Hold the upper frame securely with both hands.
3. Lower the frame slowly and evenly. Never release it and allow it to collapse under its own weight.
4. Keep fingers clear of the folding joints, braces and spaces between pockets until the stand is fully collapsed.
5. Place the dry, collapsed stand in its carry bag.
6. Store it in a clean, dry location where it cannot tip, be crushed or be exposed to moisture.
Cleaning and Inspection
• Wipe the frame and pockets with a clean, dry, soft cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents or excessive liquid.
• Periodically check visible fasteners, hinges, braces and the base. Do not attempt to straighten or repair damaged structural parts; remove the stand from service and arrange replacement or qualified repair.
